Open the app on the same Wi‑Fi as your printer and let it search. Printers show up by name — no IP addresses to type, no drivers, nothing to install on a computer.

Photos, printed your way
Print one photo per page, fit 2 or 4 on a sheet to save paper, or print on 4×6 in (10×15 cm) photo paper. The preview shows exactly how your photos will land on the page before you print.

Ink, paper and print jobs at a glance
See ink or toner levels, which trays have paper, and alerts such as a paper jam or an open cover. Follow your print job until it’s done — and cancel it if you sent the wrong thing.

Questions, answered
Is this the same app as True Scanner?
Yes. On iPhone and iPad, True Scanner is now called Smart Printer & Scanner — it’s the same app, updated with a new Printer tab. Your documents, folders and PRO subscription stay with you when you update. On Android, the app is still called True Scanner.
Which printers does it work with?
AirPrint printers on the same Wi‑Fi network as your iPhone or iPad. If your printer only connects with a USB cable, you can still print to it by sharing it from a Mac or Windows PC — the help inside the app walks you through it.
Why can’t the app find my printer?
Check that the printer is turned on and awake, and that your iPhone and printer are on the same Wi‑Fi network (not a guest network). Make sure Local Network access is on for the app in iOS Settings. If it still doesn’t show up, tap Printer not listed? in the app for step‑by‑step help.
Can I print for free?
Scanning documents and QR codes, reading files and organizing your library are free. Printing is part of PRO, with a free trial for new subscribers on selected plans. Before you upgrade, the app helps you find your printer — and if it can’t confirm the printer works yet, it offers a free test page so you can check first.
Are my documents uploaded anywhere?
No. Your documents stay on your device and, if you turn on sync, in your own iCloud account. Printing goes directly from your iPhone or iPad to your printer over your Wi‑Fi.
