The TV remote you can’t lose
Remote TV finds the TVs on your Wi‑Fi in seconds and puts every button you need on the device already in your hand — arrows, a touchpad, a number pad and your keyboard. Mirror your screen with AirPlay, too.
Free to download · Works over your Wi‑Fi · No extra hardware
Works with the TVs you already have
Including TVs from Sony, TCL, Hisense, Toshiba, Philips, Panasonic, Sharp, Insignia, onn, Element, Pioneer and Westinghouse that run these systems.
Everything the remote on your couch does — and a few things it can’t
No batteries, no infrared, no digging between the cushions. Just your iPhone or iPad and the Wi‑Fi you already have.
Finds your TV for you
Open the app and it looks for TVs on your Wi‑Fi — no IP addresses to type. Pair once, and Remote TV reconnects to your TV the next time you open it.
Every button you need
Power, volume, mute, channels, play and pause, rewind, Back, Home and Options. Hold an arrow, volume or channel key and it keeps going.
Type with your keyboard
Search for a show or enter a password with the keyboard on your device, instead of picking letters one at a time. Works with Samsung, LG, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV and Apple TV.
Open TV apps in one tap
The Apps tab shows apps you can launch on your TV, and the remote has one‑tap buttons for Netflix, YouTube and Apple TV.
Mirror your screen
Put photos, videos and apps on the big screen with AirPlay screen mirroring — on Apple TV and AirPlay‑ready smart TVs.
Turn the TV on
The power button can wake a sleeping TV over your network on Samsung, LG, Android TV, Fire TV, Vizio, VIDAA and Xumo models that support it.
Arrows, touchpad or numbers
Switch modes at the top of the remote to match what you’re doing.
Arrows
A big ring with OK in the middle, laid out like the remote you know. Made for menus and settings.
Touchpad
Swipe to move, tap for OK. The quickest way through long rows of shows and movies.
Numbers
A phone‑style number pad for channel numbers, with EXIT and delete keys, on TVs that accept number input.
Mirror your screen to the TV
Casting uses AirPlay, built into iOS and iPadOS, to show what’s on your iPhone or iPad — photos, videos, a presentation or a game — on Apple TV and AirPlay‑ready smart TVs, including many recent Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sony and Roku models.
- Connect your TV to the same Wi‑Fi you’re using.
- In the Casting tab, tap Start mirroring, then pick your TV.
- If your TV shows a code, enter it when asked.
- To stop, open Control Center, tap Screen Mirroring, then Stop Mirroring.
Screen mirroring is included with Remote TV Pro.
Connected in about a minute
No account to create and nothing to plug in.
Join the same Wi‑Fi
Turn on your TV and make sure it’s on the same Wi‑Fi network as your iPhone or iPad.
Find my TV
Tap Allow when iOS asks for Local Network access. Remote TV looks for TVs on your Wi‑Fi and lists what it finds.
Approve once
Pick your TV. The first time, some TVs ask you to select Allow or type the code shown on screen — after that, it just connects.
Your remote stays on your Wi‑Fi
The buttons you press and the text you type go from your device to your TV over your home network.
- No account and no sign‑in — open the app and connect.
- Pairing details for your TVs are saved on your device.
- No ads in the app — free or Pro.
One exception: some Xumo TVs receive commands over the internet, through the Xumo platform’s cloud service. Read the Privacy Policy for what the app collects and why.
Try it free, then go Pro
Remote TV is free to download, with a few free presses so you can check it works with your TV. Remote TV Pro unlocks:
- Unlimited remote control
- Opening TV apps in one tap
- AirPlay screen mirroring
Free trials are available on selected plans. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; Lifetime is a one‑time purchase. Prices are shown in the app. See the Terms of Use.
Questions, answered
Which TVs does Remote TV work with?
Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS), Roku, Fire TV, Android TV and Google TV, Apple TV, Vizio (SmartCast), VIDAA and Xumo TV. That includes TVs from Sony, TCL, Hisense, Toshiba, Philips, Panasonic, Sharp, Insignia and other brands that run these systems. Some features, like typing and number keys, depend on what your TV supports.
Do I need an IR blaster or any extra hardware?
No. Remote TV controls your TV over your home network, so your iPhone or iPad and your TV just need to be on the same Wi‑Fi. It doesn’t use infrared.
Why can’t the app find my TV?
Make sure the TV is on and connected to the same Wi‑Fi as your device, and that Local Network is turned on for Remote TV in iOS Settings. A sleeping TV can take a few seconds to answer, so tap Search again. The support page has more fixes, brand by brand.
Does casting work with Chromecast?
Casting in Remote TV is AirPlay screen mirroring, so it works with Apple TV and AirPlay‑ready smart TVs. It doesn’t send media to Chromecast or Google Cast devices.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Choose Remote TV and tap Cancel Subscription. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your free trial or billing period ends.
