How Download Tiktok handles your information — and why the videos you save stay on your device.
TechSmart LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Download Tiktok - No Watermark app ("Download Tiktok," "the app"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By downloading, installing, or using Download Tiktok, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Videos, photos and audio files you save with the app go straight to your device's gallery and media storage. We do not upload them, copy them to our servers, read your media library, or share your files with anyone. Deleting the app's data or uninstalling removes your download history.
1. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. Download Tiktok requires no account and no sign-in. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or precise location.
Information you provide
Nothing is required to use the app. We only receive information you choose to send us — for example, if you email our support team at [email protected], we will see your email address and your message so we can help you.
Information collected automatically
When you use the app, our analytics and advertising partners may automatically collect limited technical data: device model, operating system version, app version, device language, approximate region derived from IP address, coarse in-app events (such as which screens you open), crash logs and diagnostics, and device identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID. This data is used in aggregate to keep the app stable, understand which features matter, and show ads. It does not include the contents of the videos you download.
2. Your Downloads
Files you save with Download Tiktok are written directly to your device's public media storage (Movies/Download Tiktok, Music, or Pictures folders) and appear in your gallery. Your download history (titles, thumbnails, status) is stored in a local database on your device only. We have no server that receives, stores, or analyzes your files or history.
3. Video Link Processing
When you paste or share a video link, the app transmits that public link (and nothing else) to a media-processing API to locate a downloadable version of the video. No personal data accompanies the request. The app can only process publicly available content — private videos are not supported and cannot be accessed.
4. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to: operate, maintain, and improve the app; diagnose and fix crashes; measure which features are used; deliver remote configuration updates; show ads that keep the app free; and respond to your support requests. We do not build a personal profile of you.
5. Advertising & Consent
Download Tiktok is free and supported by ads served by Google AdMob. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region where consent is required, the app shows a consent form powered by Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are displayed. You can limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings: Settings ▸ Google ▸ Ads ▸ Reset or Delete advertising ID. If personalized ads are declined, you will see non-personalized ads instead.
6. Permissions
- Internet — required to process links and download videos.
- Notifications (Android 13+) — shows download progress. Optional; you may decline and downloads still work.
- Storage (Android 9 and below only) — saves files to your gallery. On Android 10+ the app uses scoped media storage and needs no storage permission.
The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, or location.
7. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (advertising) — policies.google.com/technologies/ads
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google User Messaging Platform (ads consent management) — policies.google.com/privacy
- Media-processing API (receives only the public video URL you submit, solely to resolve a downloadable file)
8. Data Sharing & Selling
We do not sell your personal data for money. Device identifiers such as the Android Advertising ID are shared with our advertising partner (Google AdMob) to serve and measure ads; under some privacy laws this disclosure may be treated as "sharing" of personal information. Apart from advertising and the analytics providers listed above, we share information only where legally required — for example to comply with a valid legal request or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
9. Data Retention & Deletion
Because the app has no accounts, we hold no personal profile about you. Analytics and advertising data collected by Google is retained under Google's retention policies. Your download history and settings live only on your device — clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app deletes them. Uninstalling also stops all data collection. 10. Security
All network traffic from the app uses HTTPS encryption in transit. We apply reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to the limited information we handle; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Download Tiktok is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
12. Intellectual Property
Download Tiktok is a tool for saving publicly available videos for personal use. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance Ltd. Content you download belongs to its creators. Please obtain the owner's permission before re-posting or redistributing their work, and do not use downloaded material commercially without authorization. See our Terms of Use for details.
13. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete it, and to opt out of personalized advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads by declining the consent form (EEA/UK) or resetting/deleting your Advertising ID in Settings ▸ Google ▸ Ads. To exercise any other right, email us at [email protected] and we will respond in accordance with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Download Tiktok after an update means you accept the revised policy.
