Terms of Use
The agreement that governs your use of Ad-block Browser. Please read it carefully before downloading or using the app.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Ad-block Browser ("Ad-block Browser", the "app"), provided by TechSmart LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not download or use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Ad-block Browser, you accept these Terms in full and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and TechSmart LLC. If you are using the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. You must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian, to use the app. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use the app.
2. Licence to Use the App
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to download and use Ad-block Browser on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights to you.
You agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to:
- copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the app, except as expressly permitted by law;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the app;
- rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise commercially exploit the app or any part of it — including reselling access to the built-in VPN;
- remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks in the app;
- interfere with or circumvent any security, licensing, or usage-limit features of the app;
- use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms or the rights of others.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us and our licensors.
3. Ad-block Browser PRO — Subscriptions
Ad-block Browser is free to download, and ad, tracker and cookie-banner blocking is free to use. Ad-block Browser PRO is an optional upgrade that unlocks premium features — currently the built-in VPN, along with future PRO features we may add. PRO is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (for example, weekly and yearly plans). All purchases are made and managed through your Apple ID, with payments processed by Apple via the App Store (StoreKit). We never receive or store your card or payment details.
Auto-renewable subscription disclosure
- Ad-block Browser PRO subscriptions are auto-renewable and unlock the PRO features described in the app.
- When a free trial is offered, it automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account upon confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the rate of your selected plan.
- Prices and available plans are shown in the app and may vary by region and currency.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions.
- No refund is given for the unused portion of a paid period once a trial has converted; refunds, where applicable, are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies.
By subscribing to Ad-block Browser PRO, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out above. A subscription will continue and renew automatically until you cancel it. If you have started a free trial, the trial will automatically convert into a paid subscription at the standard price for your selected plan unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends. To avoid being charged for the next period, you must turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends; otherwise your Apple ID will be charged within 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current period, and you will retain PRO access until the end of the period you have already paid for. You can restore previous purchases with Restore Purchases in the app while signed in to the same Apple ID.
Because purchases are processed by Apple, your use of subscriptions is also subject to Apple's standard terms. Please review Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA) at apple.com/legal/.../stdeula.
4. Ad Blocking & Website Compatibility
Ad-block Browser filters web content using blocking rules compiled into WebKit's content-blocker engine. You acknowledge and agree that:
- Not every ad or tracker will be blocked. Blocking is rule-based and cannot guarantee complete coverage — for example, ads served from a website's own domain or embedded in content may not be distinguishable from the content itself. Counters shown in the app are estimates.
- Some websites may not work correctly. Blocking can break site layouts or functionality, and some sites refuse access when they detect ad blocking. The app lets you disable blocking for individual sites; using that option is your choice and responsibility.
- Websites have their own terms. Some websites' terms of service restrict ad blocking or require ads to be displayed. You are responsible for your use of ad blocking in relation to the sites you visit; we are not a party to your relationship with any website.
- Rules change over time. We may update, add, or remove blocking rules and related features at any time to keep the app effective and compatible.
5. The Built-in VPN
The built-in VPN is a PRO feature that routes traffic inside Ad-block Browser only — it does not provide a device-wide VPN, and other apps on your device are unaffected. When engaged, the VPN is designed to fail closed: if the tunnel becomes unreachable, the app stops loading pages rather than exposing your real IP address, until you turn the VPN off or the connection recovers.
You agree to use the VPN only for lawful purposes. Routing traffic through a VPN does not exempt you from the laws that apply to you or from the terms of the websites and services you use, and it does not guarantee anonymity. Server locations and availability may change, and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue the VPN service (or particular servers) at any time — including for maintenance, capacity, abuse prevention, or legal reasons. Where the VPN is unavailable, the rest of the browser continues to work normally.
6. Your Data & Responsibility
Your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, tabs, and settings are stored locally on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. We operate no server that holds this data and cannot restore it for you: deleting the app (or clearing its data) permanently removes it from that device, so keep your own device backups if this data matters to you.
You are solely responsible for the security of your device and passcode, for the websites you choose to visit, for the files you choose to download, and for how you use the content you access through the browser. Downloads come from the websites you request them from — not from us — and you should only download files from sources you trust.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Ad-block Browser responsibly and lawfully. You must not use the app — including private tabs and the VPN — to:
- engage in any unlawful activity, or access, store, or distribute unlawful content;
- infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person or organization;
- harass, threaten, or abuse any person;
- send spam, conduct fraud, distribute malware, or attack, probe, or gain unauthorized access to systems or networks;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, our systems (including VPN servers), or any networks connected to the service;
- circumvent measures we put in place to protect the service or other users.
We may suspend access to the VPN or other online components where we reasonably believe they are being abused.
8. Intellectual Property
The app, including its software, blocking rules, user interface, design, graphics, text, and other content (excluding the websites you visit and data you store), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features without our prior written permission. Third-party names, marks, and website icons displayed in the app belong to their respective owners and are shown solely to help you identify sites and services.
9. Third-Party Services & Websites
Ad-block Browser relies on services provided by Apple (purchases and subscriptions via StoreKit, install attribution via AdServices) and Google Firebase (analytics, remote configuration, and related infrastructure), and lets you search with the engine you choose (Google, DuckDuckGo, or Bing). These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, over which we have no control.
The websites you visit through the browser are third-party services too. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, availability, or practices, and displaying a website in the browser does not imply our endorsement of it. Your interactions with any website — including purchases, downloads, and account sign-ins — are solely between you and that site.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that defects will be corrected.
Without limiting the above, we do not warrant that all ads or trackers will be blocked, that every website will display or function correctly with blocking enabled, that the VPN will be available, uninterrupted, or achieve any particular speed, or that use of the app makes your browsing anonymous or prevents all forms of tracking. Ad blocking and the VPN materially improve privacy but no measure is absolute.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will TechSmart LLC, its affiliates, officers, employees, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app — including losses arising from websites you visit, files you download, content that was or was not blocked, or unavailability of the VPN.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to us for the app in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TechSmart LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use or misuse of the app, the websites you access and files you download through it, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or your infringement of the rights of any third party.
13. Termination
These Terms are effective until terminated. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app or its online components at any time, without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or where required by law. You may terminate at any time by deleting the app from your devices. Upon termination, the licence granted to you ends immediately; provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including Sections 4 through 12 — will survive.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time as the app evolves or as the law requires. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and significant changes may be highlighted in the app. Your continued use of Ad-block Browser after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, stop using the app.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which TechSmart LLC is established, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
