TechSmart LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Ad-block Browser application ("Ad-block Browser," "the app"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By downloading, installing, or using Ad-block Browser, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. You can use all of Ad-block Browser's core features — browsing, blocking, private tabs, bookmarks, downloads — without creating an account or giving us any personal information.

Information you provide

Nothing is required to use the app. We only receive information you choose to send us — for example, if you email our support team at [email protected], we will see your email address and whatever you write in your message so we can help you.

Information collected automatically

When you use the app, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including your device model, operating system version, app version, device language, coarse in-app usage and analytics events (such as which app screens you open or which features you toggle), crash and diagnostic data, and your approximate region derived from your IP address. This information is used in aggregate to keep the app stable and to understand which features are useful. It never includes the web pages you visit, your searches, history, bookmarks, downloads, or trusted-sites list.

Anonymous device identifier

The app uses a device-provided identifier (Apple's Identifier for Vendor) with certain requests — for example, to verify and log your subscription status. We use it only to operate features like subscriptions and to keep our analytics accurate. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID, and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

Install attribution (Apple Search Ads)

If you installed the app after tapping an Apple Search Ads ad in the App Store, the app may ask Apple's AdServices framework for an attribution token to learn, in aggregate, which campaign the install came from. This involves no ad tracking inside the app and no advertising identifier; it only helps us measure our own App Store campaigns.

Purchase information

If you subscribe to Ad-block Browser PRO, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We receive confirmation of your subscription status so we can unlock PRO features, but we never receive or store your card number or any payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple.

2. Your Browsing Data Stays on Your Device

Your browsing history, bookmarks, downloads, open tabs and tab groups, top sites, and your trusted-sites list are stored locally on your device. We operate no server that receives or stores this data, and there is no Ad-block Browser account it could sync to. You can clear history, delete bookmarks and downloads, and clear website data at any time from within the app; uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device.

Private tabs. Private tabs use separate, ephemeral storage. Pages opened in private tabs are never written to history, and their cookies and site data are discarded when the tabs are closed.

Website icons. To show a recognizable icon next to bookmarks, top sites and suggestions, the app may fetch a site's public icon using its domain name. This request contains no personal data.

3. Ad & Tracker Blocking

Blocking rules for ads, trackers and cookie banners ship inside the app and are compiled on your device into WebKit's content-blocker engine. Matching happens entirely on-device as pages load; no browsing information is sent anywhere for filtering. The "blocked" counter shown in the app is an on-device estimate computed inside the pages you load, and it stays on your device. Sites you exempt with the per-site shield are saved in your local trusted-sites list only.

4. Search & Suggestions

When you search from the address bar, your query is sent to the search engine you have chosen (Google, DuckDuckGo, or Bing), which processes it under its own privacy policy. If the optional Search Suggestions setting is on, the text you type in the address bar is sent to your chosen engine as you type so it can offer completions; you can turn this off in Settings at any time. Matches from your own bookmarks and history are computed on your device and are never sent anywhere.

5. The Built-in VPN

The built-in VPN is an optional PRO feature that protects traffic inside Ad-block Browser only — it does not route other apps on your device. When enabled, the app's web traffic is relayed through a VPN server over an encrypted (TLS) connection, so the websites you visit see the server's IP address instead of yours, and networks you're on (like public Wi-Fi) can't see which sites you're browsing in the app.

We do not log, store, or sell records of the websites you visit or the content of your traffic through the VPN. Limited operational information (such as aggregate server load and connection diagnostics) may be processed to keep the service running, balance capacity, and prevent abuse. The list of available VPN servers is delivered to the app via remote configuration so unhealthy servers can be replaced quickly. The VPN is designed to fail closed: if the tunnel becomes unreachable while engaged, the app stops loading pages rather than silently exposing your real IP.

6. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above to: operate, maintain, and improve the app; diagnose and fix crashes and bugs; measure how features are used so we can make them better; process and verify your subscription and unlock PRO features; operate the VPN service; measure our own App Store ad campaigns; and respond to your support requests. We do not use this information to build a profile of your browsing, we do not show third-party ads in the app, and we never sell your data.

7. Permissions

Ad-block Browser needs network access to load the websites you visit and to provide the services described in this policy. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, location, contacts, or photo library. Individual websites you visit may ask for such permissions through the browser; those prompts are controlled by iOS and the site, and you can decline them.

8. Third-Party Services & Websites

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:

• Apple (App Store / StoreKit for purchases, AdServices for install attribution) — apple.com/legal/privacy
• Google Firebase (Analytics, Remote Config, and Firestore for attribution and subscription records) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Your chosen search engine (Google, DuckDuckGo, or Bing — for searches and, if enabled, suggestions) — see that engine's privacy policy

The websites you choose to visit are third parties too: once a page loads, your interaction with it is governed by that site's own terms and privacy policy (with ads and known trackers filtered by the shield). Ad-block Browser contains no advertising SDKs and shows no third-party ads.

9. Data Sharing & Selling

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks. The limited technical information described in this policy is shared only with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent needed to operate and improve the app — or where we are legally required to do so, such as to comply with a valid legal request or to protect our rights and the safety of our users. We have no browsing-history records to hand over.

10. Data Retention

We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aggregated and diagnostic data may be retained for analysis. Your browsing data stays on your device until you remove it — clearing history or website data in the app, or uninstalling the app, erases it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

11. Security

Your browsing data is protected by iOS app sandboxing and stays on your device. VPN traffic is encrypted in transit with TLS, and connections to websites use the security those sites provide (such as HTTPS). We also apply reasonable safeguards to the limited technical data we handle. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — please keep your device and passcode safe.

12. Children's Privacy

Ad-block Browser is a general web browser and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.

13. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, to correct it, and to request its deletion. Because your browsing data is stored only on your device, you exercise most of these rights directly: clear your history and website data in the app, or uninstall it. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so no "Do Not Sell or Share" opt-out is needed. To exercise any right over the limited technical data we do handle, email us at [email protected] and we will respond in accordance with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

14. International Transfers

We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live, and VPN servers may be located in various countries. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect it, consistent with applicable data protection laws.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be highlighted in the app. Your continued use of Ad-block Browser after an update means you accept the revised policy.
