How do I install a ringtone on my iPhone?
Find a ringtone you like and tap Install. Ringtone Guru shows a short, step-by-step guide that walks you through adding the tone using the standard iPhone setup. Once it's added, open Settings ▸ Sounds & Haptics ▸ Ringtone and select it.
I installed a ringtone but I don't hear it when someone calls.
A ringtone won't play until you actually select it. Go to Settings ▸ Sounds & Haptics ▸ Ringtone and tap your new tone so a check mark appears. You can also assign a specific ringtone to a contact from that person's card in the Contacts app.
Why does setting a ringtone on iPhone take a few steps?
iOS only allows custom ringtones to be added through Apple's own setup flow — apps can't set the system ringtone directly. Ringtone Guru makes this as easy as possible with an in-app guide that shows you exactly what to tap. It's a one-time process per tone.
How do I make my own ringtone?
Tap the + / create option, choose a video or audio clip from your library, then trim it to the part you want. You can add fade in and fade out, give it a name, and save it to My Ringtones. From there you can install it just like any other tone.
Can I trim a ringtone and add a fade?
Yes. In the editor, drag the handles on the waveform to set the start and end of your clip, then toggle Fade in and Fade out for a smooth start and finish. Preview as you go, and save when it sounds right.
How long can a ringtone be?
iPhone ringtones are up to 30 seconds long. When you trim a clip that's longer, just set the handles to a section of 30 seconds or less and the app will keep it within the limit.
Where do my created ringtones go?
Everything you make is saved under My Ringtones inside the app, so you can preview, rename, install or delete them any time.
What does Ringtone Guru PRO include?
Ringtone Guru PRO is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the full experience and removes ads. A free trial is offered when available. See the full details in our Terms of Use.
How do I cancel my subscription or free trial?
Go to Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions ▸ Ringtone Guru ▸ Cancel. To avoid being charged when a free trial ends, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the app and tap Restore Purchases on the PRO / paywall screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you originally used to subscribe.
Why do I see ads, and how do I remove them?
The free version of Ringtone Guru is supported by ads. Subscribing to Ringtone Guru PRO removes them. On the first launch you may also see Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — your choice there only affects whether ads are personalized, and you can change it any time in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking.
A ringtone won't play or the app is acting up — what should I do?
Try these steps: make sure your device isn't on silent and the volume is up, restart the app, check that you have a network connection (the library loads from our servers), and update to the latest version. If it still happens, email us at [email protected] with your device model and iOS version.
