Privacy Policy
How Super Fasting Tracker handles your information — and why your fasting history, weight and water logs stay on your device.
Pro App LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Super Fasting Tracker app ("Super Fasting Tracker," "the app"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By downloading, installing, or using Super Fasting Tracker, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Super Fasting Tracker requires no sign-up and shows no ads. Your fasting sessions, weight entries, water logs, notes, streaks and badges are stored locally on your device — we do not upload them to our servers, and we cannot see them. Syncing with Apple Health is optional, happens only with your permission, and health data is never used for advertising or shared with advertisers.
1. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. You can use every feature of Super Fasting Tracker — timing fasts, tracking zones, logging weight and water, earning badges — without creating an account or giving us any personal information.
Information you provide
Nothing is required to use the app. We only receive information you choose to send us — for example, if you email our support team at [email protected], we will see your email address and whatever you write in your message so we can help you.
Information collected automatically
When you use the app, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including your device model, operating system version, app version, device language, coarse in-app usage and analytics events (such as starting or completing a fast, which plan is selected, or logging water — event counts and settings, not the contents of your notes), crash and diagnostic data, and your approximate region derived from your IP address. This information is used in aggregate to keep the app stable and to understand which features are useful.
Anonymous device identifier
The app records installs and purchases against a random, app-scoped device identifier (Apple's "identifier for vendor," IDFV). We use it only to count installs once per device, verify and de-duplicate purchase events, and attribute installs that came from an Apple Search Ads campaign. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID, and is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Apple Search Ads attribution
If you installed the app after tapping an Apple Search Ads ad, we receive attribution details from Apple's AdServices framework (such as the campaign and keyword that led to the install). This comes from Apple, relates only to our own ad campaigns, and does not involve tracking you across other apps.
Purchase information
If you subscribe to Super Fasting Tracker Pro or buy the lifetime unlock, your purchase is processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We receive confirmation of your entitlement status so we can unlock Pro features, but we never receive or store your card number or any payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple.
2. Your Fasting & Health Data
Your fasting sessions (start and end times, plans, goals), moods and notes, weight entries, water logs, streaks, badges and statistics are stored locally on your device. We do not upload this data to our servers, do not have access to it, and do not share it with anyone.
Because this data lives on your device, deleting the app deletes it too. With Pro you can export your data as CSV files at any time to keep your own backup.
3. Apple Health
Super Fasting Tracker can optionally connect to Apple Health to read and write your weight (so your chart stays in sync with other apps) and to save the water you log. This happens only if you grant permission through the iOS Health prompt, and you can review or revoke access at any time in the Health app ▸ Sharing ▸ Apps.
Data received from Apple Health stays on your device, is used only to show and sync your own entries, and is never sent to our servers, never used for advertising or marketing, and never shared with third parties. We comply with Apple's HealthKit rules, which strictly prohibit using health data for advertising.
4. How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to: operate, maintain, and improve the app; diagnose and fix crashes and bugs; measure in aggregate how features are used so we can make them better; count installs and measure our own Apple Search Ads campaigns; process and verify your subscription or lifetime purchase and unlock Pro features; and respond to your support requests. We do not use this information to build a profile of you, and we never see the contents of your fasting history, notes, or health data.
5. No Advertising, No Tracking
Super Fasting Tracker contains no ads and no advertising SDKs. The app does not use Apple's advertising identifier (IDFA), does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and therefore never shows Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. Our only business model is the optional Pro upgrade.
6. Permissions
Notifications (optional). If you allow notifications, the app can alert you when you reach your fasting goal, enter a new fasting zone, when your eating window ends, or when your streak is at risk. You can fine-tune or disable these in the app's Settings or in iOS Settings at any time.
Apple Health (optional). Used only as described in Section 3 — to sync weight both ways and save water entries. The app works fully without it.
Live Activities. The Lock Screen / Dynamic Island timer runs through Apple's ActivityKit on your device; it does not send your data anywhere.
Siri & Shortcuts (optional). If you use commands like "Start Fast" or "Log Water," they are handled on your device through Apple's App Intents framework.
Network. The app uses your internet connection for anonymous analytics and crash reporting, remote configuration, verifying purchases, and recording install/purchase events as described above. Your fasting and health data is not part of this traffic.
7. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit for purchases and subscriptions; AdServices for Search Ads attribution; HealthKit and ActivityKit run on-device) — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, and Firestore for anonymous install/purchase records) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
There are no advertising networks in the app.
8. Data Sharing & Selling
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your fasting or health data with anyone. We share the limited technical information described in this policy only with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent needed to operate and improve the app — or where we are legally required to do so, such as to comply with a valid legal request or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
9. Data Retention
Your fasting history, weight, water, notes, streaks and badges stay on your device until you delete them or delete the app. On our side, we keep the limited technical information described in this policy only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described here, or as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aggregated and diagnostic data may be retained for analysis. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
10. Security
Your on-device data is protected by iOS's built-in security and your device passcode. For the limited information we handle on our side, we use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Super Fasting Tracker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Fasting is also not intended for minors — please see the health notice in our Terms of Use. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
12. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, to correct it, and to request its deletion. Most of your data never reaches us in the first place — you can view it in the app and delete it on your device at any time. To exercise a right over the limited information we do handle, email us at [email protected] and we will respond in accordance with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
13. International Transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect it, consistent with applicable data protection laws.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be highlighted in the app. Your continued use of Super Fasting Tracker after an update means you accept the revised policy.
