Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of QR Scanner Super ("QR Scanner Super", the "app"), provided by TechSmart LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not download or use the app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using QR Scanner Super, you accept these Terms in full and agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and TechSmart LLC. If you are using the app on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. If you are using the app, you must be of the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If you do not accept these Terms, you may not use the app.

2. Licence to Use the App

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to download and use QR Scanner Super on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. This licence does not transfer any ownership rights to you.

You agree that you will not, and will not permit any third party to:

• copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the app, except as expressly permitted by law;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the app;
• rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise commercially exploit the app or any part of it;
• remove, obscure, or alter any proprietary notices, labels, or marks in the app;
• interfere with or circumvent any security, licensing, or usage-limit features of the app;
• use the app for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms or the rights of others.

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by us and our licensors.

3. Premium Subscription & Lifetime Purchase

QR Scanner Super is free to download. QR Scanner Super Premium is an optional upgrade that removes ads and unlocks unlimited scanning, unlimited sharing, the full custom QR generator, and auto-saved history. Premium is available either as an auto-renewable subscription (for example, monthly and yearly plans) or as a one-time Lifetime purchase. All purchases are made and managed through your Apple ID, with payments processed by Apple via the App Store (StoreKit). We never receive or store your card or payment details.

By purchasing a Premium subscription, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out above. The subscription will continue and renew automatically until you cancel it. If you have started a free trial, the trial will automatically convert into a paid subscription at the standard price for your selected plan unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends. To avoid being charged for the next period, you must turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends; otherwise your Apple ID will be charged within 24 hours before the renewal date. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not retroactively refund the current period, and you will retain Premium access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Because purchases are processed by Apple, your use of subscriptions and purchases is also subject to Apple's standard terms. Please review Apple's standard End User Licence Agreement (EULA) at apple.com/legal/.../stdeula.

4. Your Scans, Codes & Documents

QR Scanner Super lets you scan codes and documents from the world around you and create QR codes of your own. You are solely responsible for the material you scan, import, or encode and for the codes and documents you create with the app.

You represent and warrant that you own, or have all necessary rights, licences, and permissions to, any material you scan, import, or encode into a QR code, and that scanning, storing, generating, exporting, and sharing it does not infringe the copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights of any third party. You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and not to scan, encode, or distribute material you are not permitted to reproduce or share.

Your scan history, captured documents, and the codes you create are processed and stored on your device. We do not claim ownership of them and do not upload or access their contents. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups; we are not responsible for any loss of scans, documents, or codes.

Scanned content is third-party content. A scanned code may lead to websites, networks, or information controlled by others. We do not verify, endorse, or take responsibility for anything a scanned code links to or contains — always review the preview before acting on it.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use QR Scanner Super responsibly and lawfully. You must not use the app to:

• infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or confidentiality rights of any person or organization;
• create or distribute QR codes or barcodes that link to malware, phishing pages, scams, or other fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal content or destinations;
• scan, create, transmit, or distribute illegal, fraudulent, forged, obscene, defamatory, or infringing content;
• misrepresent the origin or destination of a code in order to deceive or defraud any person;
• gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to networks, systems, venues, or services (for example by scanning or forging codes you are not authorized to use);
• harass, threaten, or abuse any person;
• interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the app, our servers, or any systems or networks connected to the service;
• introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.

You are solely responsible for the content you scan, create, or share with the app and for ensuring that your use complies with all applicable laws and the rules of any platform or service where you use it.

6. Intellectual Property

The app, including its software, presentation and arrangement of content, user interface, design, graphics, text, and other content (excluding content you create), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or brand features without our prior written permission.

The QR codes and documents you create from your own material with the app are yours to use for your personal purposes, subject to the rights in the underlying material and to the laws that apply where you use them. We do not claim ownership of the codes or documents you create.

7. Third-Party Services & Ads

QR Scanner Super relies on services provided by Apple, Google, and Meta. We use Apple for purchases and subscriptions (StoreKit), Google Firebase for analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration, and Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network to serve advertising to free users. Advertising uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework; the IDFA is used for personalized ads only if you allow tracking, otherwise non-personalized ads are shown.

These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, over which we have no control. We are not responsible for the availability, content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party service or advertisement — including any website, network, or content that a scanned code leads to — and your interactions with third parties are solely between you and them.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including without limitation any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that defects will be corrected.

Code detection, decoding, document capture, and code generation are provided on a best-effort basis and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Decoded data — such as links, Wi-Fi credentials, contact details, or product information — may contain errors, and generated codes may not scan correctly in every context. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying any result before relying on it — especially for legal, financial, medical, or official purposes. We do not guarantee that any particular code format or file will be accurately read or supported on every device or version of iOS.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will TechSmart LLC, its affiliates, officers, employees, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, scans, documents, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the app — including any damage resulting from content that a scanned code links to.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the app shall not exceed the amount you actually paid to us for the app in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TechSmart LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and licensors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your use or misuse of the app, the material you scan or encode or the codes and documents you create, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or your infringement of the rights of any third party.

11. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the app. We may suspend or terminate your access to the app, in whole or in part, at any time and without prior notice if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, the licence granted to you under Section 2 ends immediately, and you must stop using and delete the app. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including those relating to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law, will continue to apply. Termination does not affect any subscription terms administered by Apple, which you can manage in Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the app, our practices, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the app after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the app.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the app shall be submitted to the competent courts of Lisbon, Portugal. This choice of law and forum does not deprive you of the protection afforded by mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country in which you reside.
