How do I scan a QR code or barcode?
Open the app and point your camera at the code — QR Scanner Super detects and decodes it instantly, no shutter button needed. You'll see a clear preview of what's inside (a link, Wi-Fi network, contact, product and so on) before you decide what to do with it.
There are several codes in the frame — how do I choose the right one?
That's what multi-code selection is for. When the camera sees more than one code — on a shelf, poster or page — every code is highlighted in the viewfinder. Just tap the one you want and only that code is processed.
Can I scan a code from a photo or screenshot?
Yes. Choose the photo option in the scanner and pick an image from your library. Only the photos you select are shared with the app — QR Scanner Super never reads the rest of your library. This is handy for codes in screenshots, tickets or images someone sent you.
How do I scan a document to PDF?
Switch to the document scanner and point your camera at the page. Capture one page or many in a row — receipts, notes, ID cards, contracts — and the app saves them as a crisp, high-quality PDF you can share or store anywhere.
Which code formats are supported?
All standard 1D and 2D formats, including QR, Data Matrix, Aztec, UPC, EAN, Code 39 and many more. If it's a common code printed on a product, ticket, poster or document, QR Scanner Super can read it.
How do I create my own QR code?
Open the generator and choose what the code should contain — a URL, Wi-Fi network, contact card, text message, email and more. You can then customize the stroke and background colors and even insert a logo or image from your gallery right into the center of the code.
How do I join Wi-Fi, save a contact or add an event from a scan?
After a scan, tap the suggested action on the result screen — Join Network, Save Contact, Add to Calendar, and so on. The first time, iOS will ask for the matching permission (for example Contacts or Calendar); that access is used only to complete the action you chose.
Where are my past scans?
Everything you scan is saved automatically to History, so you never lose a code. You can reopen any item, copy or share it again — or edit its content and instantly re-save it as a brand-new custom QR code.
Is it safe to open links from scanned codes?
QR Scanner Super always shows you a preview of the decoded content — including the full link — before anything opens, so you stay in control. As with any QR code in the wild, check that the domain looks right before opening it, and be careful with codes from untrusted sources.
What does Premium include?
Premium removes ads and unlocks
unlimited scanning,
unlimited sharing, the full
custom QR generator and auto-saved history. It's available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription — with a free trial when offered — or as a one-time
Lifetime purchase. See the full details in our
Terms of Use.
How do I cancel my subscription or free trial?
Go to Settings ▸ Apple ID ▸ Subscriptions ▸ QR Scanner Super ▸ Cancel. To avoid being charged when a free trial ends, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial period ends. The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase — there's nothing to cancel and it never renews.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open the app and tap Restore Purchases on the Premium screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you originally used to buy the subscription or Lifetime plan.
Why do I see ads, and what is the tracking prompt?
The free version of QR Scanner Super is supported by ads, and upgrading to Premium removes them. On first launch you may also see Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt — your choice there only affects whether ads are personalized, and you can change it any time in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking.
The camera won't scan — what should I do?
Try these steps: make sure the code is well lit and fills a good part of the frame, hold the phone steady, and check that QR Scanner Super has camera access in
Settings ▸ QR Scanner Super. Updating to the latest version also helps. Still stuck? Email us at
