Privacy Policy
How Font Generator handles your information — and why what you type stays private.
Pro App LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Font Generator - Cool Fonts app ("Font Generator," "the app"), which includes the Font Generator keyboard extension ("the keyboard"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By downloading, installing, or using Font Generator, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Font Generator converts text entirely on your device. We do not record, log, store, or transmit the text you convert, decorate, or type. The keyboard does not capture your keystrokes, and we never collect the contents of your messages, passwords, or search queries. When you enable "Allow Full Access" for the keyboard, that permission is used only to convert text, use the clipboard so copying works, and — for free users — show ads.
1. Information We Collect
We aim to collect as little as possible. You can use Font Generator's core features — converting text, decorating text, and copying the result — without creating an account or giving us any personal information.
Information you provide
Nothing is required to use the app. We only receive information you choose to send us — for example, if you email our support team at [email protected], we will see your email address and whatever you write in your message so we can help you.
Information stored on your device
Your favorite styles, your settings, and your remaining copy credits are stored locally on your device and shared with the keyboard extension so both stay in sync. This information is not personal to you in any identifying way and is removed when you delete the app.
Information collected automatically
When you use the app, we and our analytics providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including your device model, operating system version, app version, device language, coarse in-app usage and analytics events (such as which screen you open, when a copy uses a credit, or when a paywall is shown), crash and diagnostic data, and your approximate region derived from your IP address. This is used in aggregate to keep the app stable and to understand which features are useful. It never includes the text you type or convert.
Advertising identifiers
For free users, our advertising partner may use Apple's Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) — but only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you do not allow tracking, the IDFA is not used to personalize ads, and you will see non-personalized ads instead.
App install attribution
If you installed Font Generator after tapping an Apple Search Ads advertisement, the app may request an attribution token from Apple's AdServices framework to learn which campaign led to the install. This tells us how well our advertising works; it does not identify you personally.
Purchase information
If you buy Font Generator PRO, your purchase and subscription status are processed by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). We receive confirmation of your purchase status so we can unlock PRO features, but we never receive or store your card number or any payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple.
2. About the Keyboard & Full Access
Font Generator includes an optional third-party keyboard extension. We want to be completely clear about how it behaves. The text you type using the keyboard is not collected, logged, stored, or transmitted to us or anyone else.
iOS asks whether you want to "Allow Full Access" for the keyboard. Turning Full Access on enables the keyboard to: convert your text into the style you selected, read and write the clipboard so copy and paste work, share your settings, favorites and remaining credits with the main app, and — for free users — request and display ads. That is the full extent of what Full Access is used for.
You remain in control. The keyboard is entirely optional: the converter and the Text Decorator inside the app work without ever adding it. You can add, remove, or change Full Access at any time in iOS Settings ▸ General ▸ Keyboard ▸ Keyboards.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to: operate, maintain, and improve the app; diagnose and fix crashes and bugs; measure how features are used so we can make them better; deliver remote configuration and content; process and verify your purchase and unlock PRO features; manage copy credits and rewarded ads for free users; show ads to free users; measure the effectiveness of our own advertising; and respond to your support requests. We do not use any of this information to build a profile of what you write.
4. Advertising & Tracking
Font Generator is free to use, and free users may see ads — including banner and interstitial ads, and optional rewarded video ads you can watch to earn extra copy credits. Those ads are served by Google AdMob. To support your privacy choices, the app uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework.
If you allow tracking when prompted, ads may be personalized using your advertising identifier. If you decline, you will receive non-personalized ads. You can change your decision at any time in iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking, where you can also turn off tracking requests entirely. Font Generator PRO users do not see ads at all.
5. Permissions
Photos. The app requests access to your photo library only when you choose to save an image to it. This is handled on your device, and we do not upload or read your photo library.
Network. The app uses your internet connection to sync remote configuration, run analytics and crash reporting, process purchases, and (for free users) load ads.
6. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple (App Store / StoreKit for purchases; AdServices for Search Ads attribution) — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Firestore) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
- Google AdMob (advertising for free users) — policies.google.com/privacy
7. Data Sharing & Selling
We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent needed to operate and improve the service — or where we are legally required to do so, such as to comply with a valid legal request or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
8. Data Retention
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Aggregated and diagnostic data may be retained for analysis. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. Data stored locally on your device is removed when you delete the app.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the limited information we handle. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Font Generator is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
11. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information, including the right to access it, to correct it, to request its deletion, and to opt out of personalized advertising. You can opt out of personalized ads at any time through iOS Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Tracking. To exercise any other right, email us at [email protected] and we will respond in accordance with applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
12. International Transfers
We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than the one in which you live. Where we transfer data internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to protect it, consistent with applicable data protection laws.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the app evolves or as the law requires. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes may be highlighted in the app. Your continued use of Font Generator after an update means you accept the revised policy.
